In August, Brooklyn-based artist Simon Lee traveled to Saxapahaw, NC in order to transform Culture Mill’s 44-seat biodiesel bus into a mobile black box with over 700 tiny camera obscuras, accompanied by celebrated local musicians: Kellie Ann Grubbs and Benjamin Trueblood.
Simon Lee’s Bus Obscura was first commissioned for Art Basel Miami, and has since been installed at the NYC Armory show, the Kampala International Film festival, and in many cities such as London, Pittsburg, San Fransisco, Basel and others.
